As an art major at Hamilton, I had to produce a final project in order to complete the major with honors. An installation piece, my project consisted of two dance diagrams arranged on the floor of the gallery space. The diagrams were composed of black shoe prints printed on acetate with a white word or words in each foot. Each of the two dances uses a different set of shoes for the male and female roles. All male shoes are a 100% to scale reproduction of my shoe prints. The female shoes are a 100% to scale reproduction of my girlfriend's shoe prints. The text within them was taken from letters written during the formation of our relationship and the diagrams follow the sequence in which they were written.
